How not to get lost

The post code is crucial, as there is another Mayfield Road in Oxfordshire (in Farmoor) where you don't want to go.

Go to Oxford's north suburb called Summertown. You can grab a cab from the station and give them the address above, explaining we're in Summertown. Or you can grab a local bus:

• From Oxford rail station, it is a 5 minute walk to Magdalen Street in the city centre, where there are frequent buses to Summertown.


• From Magdalen street, all buses to Kidlington and Cutteslowe go via Summertown (bus numbers 2, 2A, 2B and 7A, 7B). These buses leave from just outside Debenhams department store.


• On the bus, ask for a ticket to "Marks and Spencer in Summertown". Get off the bus at the first stop when you see the Summertown shops (the only shopping area you will go through on Banbury Road). Then, just after the Marks and Spencer store (going north), you turn right onto Summerfield Road which continues on to become Mayfield Road when it turns left. We're just there.
